Introduction

In order to keep up to date with the latest technology developments, and allow us to continue to deliver innovative and outstanding service, we will be upgrading the software on all Polycom handsets to Flexi-Desking.

Benefits

  • Logging in will now be done via the Guest In button only, making the process easier for users

  • essensys will now be able to remotely log a handset in and out if required, making the trouble-shooting process more straightforward and requiring less involvement from the tenant

  • If a handset is logged in with credentials that are already in use, the original handset will automatically be logged out, preventing issues arising from user details being used on multiple handsets

Changes

Logging In: You no longer need to make any changes via the Encoding soft key in order to log in. You will simply be able to use the Guest In button

  • Press Guest In

  • Enter full DDI

  • Enter PIN

  • Select OK

  • Your handset will reboot

Handset Pin: Should a handset need to be logged in, the handset PIN will now be the same as the current voicemail PIN. This can be re-set by the centre team through Connect or by the client through the Connect App.

 Logging Out: You can now log out using the Guest Out button

  • Press Guest Out

  • Your handset will reboot

Contact Directory: All entries in the Contact Directory will be lost

 New Users: When creating a new user, choose the Device Type 'Polycom Flex'.
